Program Description

The Computer Science master of science (M.S.) degree program prepares students for ever-expanding career opportunities. Possibilities range from the development of time-critical software for aerospace applications to the design of graphics and animation software to implementation and testing of next-generation Internet protocols. This department has significant offerings in data science, high-performance computing, and distributed systems (i.e., networking). Students have the option of doing an MS thesis, and this option reduces the required number of elective classes.

    Prerequisites

Strong background in the sciences, preferably in computer science. Students with no computer science background whatsoever should pursue a post baccalaureate degree before applying.
