    Program Description

    The Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science program prepares students for a dynamic and ever-expanding landscape of career opportunities. Graduates are equipped to tackle complex challenges, with possibilities ranging from the development of time-critical aerospace software, to the design of advanced graphics and animation, to engineering secure, globally distributed applications. The curriculum features deep strengths in distributed systems, data science, high-performance computing, and cybersecurity, among others. For those seeking an intensive, faculty-mentored research experience, students have the option to pursue an M.S. thesis in lieu of standard elective coursework.

    Prerequisites

    Strong background in the sciences, preferably in computer science. Students with no computer science background whatsoever should pursue a post baccalaureate degree before applying.
