    Program Description

    The master's degree program in linguistics provides students with the foundational coursework to conduct graduate-level research in linguistics.

    Most PhD programs require or expect an master's degree, or equivalent substantial research experience. The master's program is an avenue for promising undergraduates to obtain the research experience, and in-depth knowledge of linguistics, needed for these highly competitive PhD positions.
